AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran’s top military commander, Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, stated on Thursday that the country’s armed forces halted the enemy’s war machine by inflicting significant damage on its critical military, strategic, and research centers.
He praised the Islamic Republic’s armed forces for their strength and skill in delivering a “painful” response to Israeli aggression.
Despite a media blackout, Mousavi said the destruction across the occupied territories—from south to north—proves that key enemy facilities were reduced to rubble.
He reiterated that Iran has never initiated war, but will always determine the outcome of any aggression against its sovereignty.
Mousavi noted that Western intelligence and NATO support were fully aligned with Israel, yet Iran’s forces, backed by the people, managed to halt the enemy’s advance.
He added that during the conflict, even shelters in the occupied territories failed to provide safety for residents.
The general said the US attack on Iran’s nuclear sites in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan was a desperate attempt to shield Israel, but Iran responded by striking the al-Udeid airbase near Qatar’s capital.
He emphasized that no act of desperation can shake the resolve of the Iranian nation and its armed forces.
According to Mousavi, US leaders eventually resorted to indirect negotiations through regional countries, effectively surrendering to Iran’s will.
He thanked the Iranian people for their unwavering support and warned Israel and its allies that Iran is closely monitoring their actions.
He concluded by warning that any future miscalculation would result in the aggressors being “hurled into the abyss of history.”
On June 13, Israel launched an unprovoked war against Iran, targeting nuclear, military, and civilian sites, leading to the martyrdom of commanders, scientists, and civilians.
In response, Iran launched 22 waves of missile strikes under Operation True Promise III, targeting strategic sites across Israeli-occupied territories.
